Hotel Riu Touareg - All Inclusive

Grande resort in posizione isolata ( a 35 km dal paese Sal Rei ) ma su una spiaggia lunga e bianca .Tre piscine e lettini gratuiti ache in spiaggia con ombra di palme. Molta gente ma basta cercare di evitare gli orari più affollati per pranzo e cena ( il cibo è di media qualità adatto soprattutto a clientela nordica ). Ottima pulizia e cordialità del personale.

We spent 11 nights at this hotel. The resort is large, and the rooms are decorated in an African style. Unfortunately, the beds are old, and the mattresses were dirty and infested with bedbugs. We were bitten multiple times and have marks all over our bodies. We stayed in three different rooms, but the problem persisted. Other guests also complained about being bitten. We had to visit a doctor, which cost €110 including medication. There was also a strong sewage smell coming from the bathroom. On the positive side, the food was excellent, and the staff were friendly and hardworking, both in the rooms and the restaurant. The pools were nice, the beach was lovely, and the kids' facilities – including the club, mini disco, and children’s pool – were great. Everything could have been perfect if not for the bedbug issue. Please address this problem immediately – it’s unacceptable in any hotel, let alone one rated 5 stars. In reality, this hotel is closer to a 3-star standard. To those reading this: This is not a 5-star experience by European standards. The rooms are not luxurious like those you'd expect in countries such as Poland or Germany. Sadly, we will not return due to the old, dirty, and blood-stained mattresses crawling with insects.

Rust on toilet seat and shower. Veneer coming away from room door. Bedding dirty. Holes and turn blackout curtain. No iron and when and if you can hire an iron you don't get an ironing board and have to use table in room. Food same every day. Mash was more like custard. Needs updating. Wouldn't choose this hotel again. More like 3* than what we was told was a 5*

Our 12-day holiday at Hotel Riu Touareg, Boa Vista, was simply fantastic! From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming and attentive, making us feel right at home. The food was consistently amazing, offering a wide variety of delicious options that catered to every taste. And let's not forget the beaches – truly some the best we've ever seen! The pristine sands and crystal-clear waters were the perfect backdrop for a relaxing and unforgettable vacation. Highly recommend!

This is not a 5 star hotel, please do not book this thinking you'll get a 5 star experience. Sadly we got attracted to the pictures and although knew that the room s are a bit dated but expected them to be clean and in working order. The rooms are terrible ! Ripped curtains . Toilet was defected with water trickling down it all the time. Toilet light not working and despite complaining they didn't bother fixing it. The rooms have a horrible musty smell , no ventilation , the bed didn't even have a head board just pillows to prop you up ! The big pool is smelly and has murky water. Sewage smell all around the open restaurant. If you are comfortable and used to a 3 star hotel then book however we like many others have left utterly disappointed. Some positives are the food which is good plenty of choice, the beach is beautiful very serene. Cannot wait to be home!

I’m going to be straight up and honest about our family trip to Cape Verde. First of all, the hotel is a beautiful hotel with a stunning beach, but unfortunately due to the waves we were unable to go into the sea as the waves were extremely strong, but we didn’t let that put a downer on the holiday. It was myself, my partner and 2 year old son that spent a week at the Riu Toureg and the complex was massive and quite impressive, however at the time, the weather wasn’t the greatest to start off with, but soon perked up well. We had a lot of problems with the amount of flies and mosquitoes around the complex, to the point where it became unbearable. They were constantly around from day to night including meals times when they were all over the food which really bothered me and my partner. We did eventually end up buying some fly and mosquitoes spray which helped a little bit, but the price was ridiculous costing €19.50 for a small bottle. However, the staff were helpful to extent as most didn’t understand basic English which became very frustrating as they had to ask other members of staff for help on what we said to them. During tea we had a very lovely waiter who never failed to set up our table with a baby seat and our preferred drinks, and this was really touching, but unfortunately we didn’t get her name and she wasn’t on shift on our last night so we could thank her for her service. Although, we were very sad that it didn’t have enough entertainment throughout the day and night for our 2 year old son. There was no suitable play areas apart from swings and two small slides in the kids swimming area, but we soon moved from there and tried the bigger pools which he was a little bit more content with. We do think it lacks a lot of entertainment for little ones such as our 2 year old, but we did have few members of staff that were very good with him. I also forgot to mention that when we first checked in, the hotel knowing that we had a small child they still put us two floors up so we had to carry the pram and everything else up every single day which was also frustrating and draining for me and my partner. We didn’t want to change room as it was quiet and we just didn’t want to be that family that complained about everything during our stay. The food and drinks were nice, but sometimes a bit repetitive as our son ate the same food every day as they don’t have a children’s buffet area which was also very unfortunate and the restaurants were nearly impossible to book due to the amount of people staying at the hotel at the time. Overall, the holiday was definitely not worth the price we paid for a week and we will more than likely not return to Cape Verde and the Riu Toureg again. I apologies for anyone who is reading this review as I know it’s a negative one, but this doesn’t necessarily mean it’s going to be like this for you and your family. If you have booked and due to go soon, then I hope you have the best time and make good memories.
